Breakaway 2010

Breakaway is a game modeled after the sport of soccer. Alliances are made up of three teams each, working together they work to score soccer balls in the opposing alliance's goals. Some robots are designed to be defensive while others work to score goals.
The twist this year included an endgame where robots which were able to elevate themselves above 24 inches were awarded 2 bonus points, those robots which can elevate themselves by hanging from another robot are awarded 3 bonus points. Watch the animation below to get an idea what the competition is all about.
