About our website
Our web team decided to use a service called Weebly to manage our website this year.
Weebly is a free Content Management System similar to that of Drupal or Wordpress, however it is completely hosted and free. We use weebly to make day-to-day editing and management of our site easy.
Before we switched to Weebly our web team had developed this theme and with a bit of modification we were able to migrate it to the Weebly infrastructure. Sadly the html code that is generated by the Weebly wysiwyg editor is not standards compliant, however it does have full functionality in all major browsers, including those on smartphones where a special version of the website is displayed.

OTIS - Online Team Information System
A few year ago, our team began to grow, form 10 to 40 members in just one FRC season. It became apparent that some system of organization and communication was needed.
Enter OTIS, a php web database application for team information management. OTIS started as a simple profile manager, emergency contact information. It quickly grew to help manage member's web profiles and our FRC geek speak vocab list.
Then it expanded to become more of a communication tool, listing meeting times, scheduling events, and text messages. It's interesting as the necessity of text message capability became one of the most used tools in the OTIS suite, allowing mentors to text message the team.OTIS also provides a place where team member can blog about their experiences on the team, and after moderation be posted to the team blog.OTIS requires a username and password to enter and registration si only open to team members. Those interested in the inner-workings of OTIS should contact Blake through his Github account, where he hosts the OTIS repository.
